Now, a brief introduction to football mid north coast soccer, in terms of the local area.

The Football Mid North Coast area is part of Northern NSW Football‘s area, and which also includes six other zones, those including:

  • Football Far North Coast
  • Hunter Valley Football
  • Macquarie Football
  • Newcastle Football
  • North Coast Football
  • Northern Inland Football

There are a number of competitions in which they compete, and these include the regional championships and the inter-zone competitions.

In 2010, they have included:

  • NNSW Youth League (13 boys, 14 boys, 15 boys, and 16 girls)
  • Regional Youth League (13 boys, 14 boys, 15 boys, and 16 girls)
  • Development games (11 boys, 11 girls, 12 boys, and 13 girls)

While there are similarities with the NNSW Youth League competition and the Regional Youth League competition, some of the variations between these include:

The NNSW Youth League involves soccer teams from Football Mid North Coast, Hunter Valley Football, Macquarie Football; while the Regional Youth League involves soccer teams from Central Coast Football, Hunter Valley Football, Macquarie Football, Mid North Coast Football (North), Football Mid North Coast (South), Newcastle Football

There are also various local soccer competitions, such as with the primary schools (eg PSSA), and also with futsal (eg Saxby’s Stadium Taree, PCYC Taree, etc).

The Bill Turner cup is also contested locally, and in 2010 the following high schools were involved:

If you are looking for the location of football/soccer fields, then we have produced a few online maps that should be of assistance. We have an online map for soccer fields in the Football Mid North Coast area, with fields listed by the codes on the competition draw. We also have an online map for fields used in Regional Youth League (RYL), State league , and Development competitions/games.

The main local soccer fields that are normally used for representative games are located at Port Macquarie and Taree. Both of these fields are indicated on the online map.

In relation to online searches being made for ‘mid north coast soccer’, ‘soccer mid north coast’, etc, please note that we are not aware of any such organisations, and that is may be Football Mid North Coast that you may need, and they have offices at Port Macquarie and Taree.
